ULIVIERO ULIVIERI
A perennial youth with a sweet and slightly shy aspect. Florentine by birth and by choice, he has absorbed from his city the art of digging deep within himself to bring out the best of his ego.
Born in Florence, Italy in 1934, between Santa Maria Novella and the Arno, he studied at the Art Institute of porta Romana; later under the guidance of Pietro Annigoni, the “painter of Queens” he refined his hand and his line. On his palette predominates acrylics and china inks.
At 17 years old he was commissioned an oil on canvas of “Christ” for the Savaiana Church of San Mommè , which still now days displayed and still admire by many of the artist followers.
Years passed in which Ulivieri needs to listen to these voices inside himself. to live in the quietness of the Tosco-Emilian Apennines where he frequently takes refuge in the peace of the forest broken only by the sound of the bells of San Mommè.
Uliveri’s paintings pleases at first sight, a painting of clear cut color but also of shadows and transparencies which take hold of the spectator with their profound poetry. For years Ulivieri resisted those who wished to launch him the art market commercially, this was contrary to the introverted and shy personality which reflects his art, in spite of his successes in those occasional national and international exhibitions which he rarely agrees to.
His first personal and private exhibition was held in 1961 at the “Popolare University at Pistoia , Italy .
Today Ulivieri is having the time of his life and is a success all over the world. Monks, nuns, vigilant, and a boy scout are the main characters of the artist master piece.
Ulivieri’s art flows against the current. The acrylics and drawings are born spontaneously, guided by a firm hand that study the lines while creating. -Imagination becomes the component of his journey called
“Strafantasie”
As a maestro born in the same city of several geniuses as Michelangelo, Botticelli and many others, his imagination arouses with continuous thoughts and creations.
Faustini Arte has held several important national and international exhibitions, but never has been so successful as with Uliviero Ulivieri.
His painting are part of many private collection around the world, such as in Australia, Belgium, Dubai, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Shang Hai, Singapore, Spain, United States among others.
Currently, Ulivieri’s works are found exclusively at Faustini Arte in the beautiful city of Florence, but with great expectation to expand his magic in different corners of the world.
