Biography

Uliviero Ulivieri born in Florence in 1934, Ulivieri has carried the spirit of his city into every brushstroke. Trained at the Art Institute of Porta Romana and later under the guidance of Pietro Annigoni, the “painter of Queens,” he developed a style distinguished by clarity of color, depth of shadow, and poetic transparency. At just 17, he completed an oil on canvas of Christ for the Church of San Mommè, where it remains on display today. Deeply connected to the Tosco-Emilian Apennines, Ulivieri often sought refuge in its forests, shaping an art that reflects both solitude and spiritual resonance. His works, acrylics and inks born of instinct and imagination, move against the current, marked by the series Strafantasie, where discipline and creativity converge. Despite his reserved nature, his art has reached audiences worldwide, from Europe to Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. Exhibited internationally since 1961, Ulivieri’s paintings now form part of prestigious private collections and are represented exclusively by Faustini Arte in Florence.
